    Yes. Many birthmothers choose adoption from the hospital or even days or weeks after birth.

  • Will I have to pay for any of this?

    No. Adoption is free for birthmothers. CFK can also help with living expenses during pregnancy.

  • Can I pick the family who adopts my child?

    Absolutely. You’ll review family profiles and decide who feels right for your baby.

  • What if I’m already parenting other children?

    That’s okay. Many women who choose adoption already have children at home. We’ll help you plan accordingly.

  • Can I still contact CFK if I’m unsure about adoption?

    Yes. You don’t have to be sure. We’re here to provide information, not pressure.

  • Will I get updates after the adoption?

    Only if you choose that. Open and semi-open adoptions allow ongoing contact. Closed adoptions keep things fully private.

  • Can you meet me at the hospital when I go into labor?

    Yes. We can meet you at Fort Hamilton Hospital or another facility and support you during your stay.
