The Fostering Futures Fund
After 17 years of outstanding leadership at Caring for Kids, our Co-Executive Director, Pat Ameling, stepped back from her director role as she transitioned into retirement. In 2023, Pat began this transition, though she remained with the agency, continuing to work on various projects.
We are forever grateful for Pat’s influence and direction at Caring for Kids, and we were pleased to announce the launch of The Fostering Futures Fund in her honor. This fund was established as an annual gift awarded to a young adult impacted by foster care. The gift could range from a college scholarship to an investment in a vocational opportunity or support for a fresh start for an emancipated teen. If you would like to help seed this fund with a gift in honor of Pat’s service and dedication, you can give here via Paypal or send cash or check at any time with Fostering Futures Fund in the memo. Beginning in 2023, nominations will be accepted and Pat will decide each year’s recipient of the award
