PERFORMANCE / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Caring for Kids, Inc. (foster care and adoption agency) is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated full-time social worker to become part of our Wendy’s Wonderful Kids team. This child focused recruiter will serve children in the custody of counties throughout the state of Ohio, and strive to find adoptive families for older and hard to place youth.

Caring for Kids offers competitive wages, 401K option, PTO, and mileage reimbursement for this position.

Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Recruiter

The Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Recruiter fulfills the duties and responsibilities as outlined in the Wendy’s Wonderful Kids grant from the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. The primary objective of this role is to identify permanency options for youth in the permanent custody of counties throughout the State of Ohio. The caseload size will be 12-15 active cases, with a maximum of 25 children, including both individual youth and sibling groups.

  • Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher is required. 
    • Experience in child welfare, foster care, or adoption is required. At least three years of experience in one of those areas is preferred.
    • Licensure in the State of Ohio is preferred (LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC, or equivalent). 
    • Residency in North East Ohio preferred.
    • Completion of adoption assessor training is preferred. 
    • Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a clean driving record, as well as a reliable vehicle with valid registration, is required. 
  • Knowledge and Skill Requirement

    • Accomplished verbal and written communication skills.
