Hi! We're Kaitlyn and Nick. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about us. We know you're facing an incredibly important decision, and we're honored that you're considering our family. We are so excited for the chance to grow our family through adoption again, and we hope this book gives you a glimpse into our everyday life, the things we value, and the love that fills our home. No matter what you decide, we wish you and your child nothing but happiness, strength, and a future full of love.
Our story began in 2002 when we met at a high school band event.
The very next day, Nick asked Kaitlyn to be his girlfriend, beginning a journey that has now spanned 24 wonderful years! From high school sweethearts to college graduates, husband and wife, and now parents, we've grown up together and remained each other's best friends.
After high school, we both attended Kent State University, earning degrees in music and later pursuing graduate degrees in music and education. We married after eight years together and began dreaming of growing our family. Following the heartbreak of pregnancy loss, our journey led us to adoption. In 2024, our greatest dream came true when we welcomed our daughter, Aria, into our lives.
Today, we love spending time together as a family, especially outdoors hiking, running, cycling, and exploring new places. In 2026, we moved into our dream home, thoughtfully designed as a place for our family to grow, create memories, and build traditions.
We are incredibly grateful for the life we've built and look forward to sharing our love, adventures, and home with another child through adoption.
ABOUT US
Kaitlyn enjoys living an active, balanced lifestyle and loves spending quality time with her family.
She enjoys hiking, camping, traveling, exploring parks, and participating in fitness events. She and Nick especially enjoy training together and are looking forward to completing their first HYROX event as a team. She also has a lifelong love of music and enjoys reading, board games, and quiet evenings at home. Kaitlyn loves planning family adventures, celebrating traditions, and creating a home filled with laughter and love. Her greatest joy is being a mom to Aria, and she looks forward to sharing that same love, encouragement, and support with another child.

Nicolas is an avid cyclist, riding over 5,000 miles per year, and general outdoor activity enthusiast.
When Nick and Kaitlyn aren't out hiking and/or camping, Nick is often competing in any type of outdoor race to be found. This has included gravel bike races, road bike races, Half Marathons, 5ks, and Spartan races. Each year he seeks out a new challenge to tackle and experience.
ABOUT Nicolas
We live in a newly built home in a welcoming, family-friendly neighborhood with parks, sidewalks, and lots of children.
Our home has a fenced backyard, a patio where we enjoy spending time together, and plenty of space to play. We are also fortunate to be part of an excellent school district that offers wonderful opportunities for children to learn and grow.
We have (2) dogs and (1) cat! Maddie is our 17-year-old cat who still loves to act like a kitten! She is friendly, very vocal, and has plenty of personality. She loves being around her people and definitely isn’t shy about letting us know when she wants attention. Lily & Gunner are our energetic, lovable rescue dogs. They are both around 3 years old and are Husky mixes, so there is never a shortage of personality, or howling, in our house!
They love going for walks, camping with us, playing outside, and spending time with Aria. They are wonderful family dogs and bring lots of fun, laughter, and a little extra chaos to our home.
