Micajah & Courtney
We are Micajah, Courtney, and Whitleigh, and we are so excited about the opportunity to grow our family through adoption! Thank you so much for taking the time to look over our profile as you consider making an adoption plan. We truly admire your courage. This is an incredibly brave and selfless decision, and we have so much respect for the strength it takes to take this step.
Adoption is a beautiful and meaningful part of our family’s story. We were overjoyed to adopt Whitleigh in 2024, and we also have a niece and nephew who were adopted and bring so much love and happiness into our lives. Adoption has shaped our family in the best ways, and we are so excited about the possibility of continuing that journey.
We met in 2014 through Micajah’s sister and began dating that July.
From the very beginning, our relationship was built on a strong foundation of friendship, and we have truly been best friends ever since. Micajah proposed in October 2015, and we were married in May 2016.
Over the years, we have loved building a life together—traveling, remodeling our home, and simply enjoying everyday moments side by side. One of our greatest joys has been becoming parents to our daughter, Whitleigh. She brings so much love, laughter, and light into our home.
In 2021, we learned about our infertility, which made it very difficult for us to grow our family. While this was a challenging season, it led us to prayerfully consider adoption. Through that journey, we felt our hearts open in a new and beautiful way. Adoption has been an incredible blessing in our lives, and we are so grateful for the way it has shaped our family.
We adopted Whitleigh in May 2024, and she has been an absolute joy ever since. Becoming her parents has been the greatest gift, and it has only deepened our love for adoption. We are excited and hopeful as we look forward to growing our family again through adoption, and we are so thankful for the opportunity to share our hearts and our home.
ABOUT US
Micajah was raised in the country, not far from where we live now, by his mom and dad.
During his junior and senior years of high school, he attended the local career center, where he studied machining. Today, he works as a lead machinist close to home, which even allows him to come home for lunch, something we all look forward to each day.
Micajah loves being outdoors, whether he’s hiking, spending time in nature, or cheering on the Cleveland Browns. One of his greatest joys is spending time with Whitleigh, especially playing together and including her in the things he loves.
He is an incredible dad, and his love for Whitleigh is evident in so many ways. He is patient and intentional, always taking the time to teach her new things and help her learn and grow. Whether he’s showing her how to do something, taking her on hikes, or simply caring for her day to day, Micajah leads with love, kindness, and joy.
about Micajah
Courtney was raised by her mom and dad alongside her three siblings, and she is the youngest of the four.
She works as a pharmacy technician at a local hospital one day a week and spends the rest of her time as a stay-at-home mom, which she truly loves.
Courtney enjoys the simple, meaningful moments in life—going on walks, cooking, baking, and spending quality time together as a family. Much of her joy comes from including Whitleigh in her day-to-day activities, whether they are out for a walk, baking cookies in the kitchen, reading books, or simply playing together at home.
She has a natural warmth and nurturing spirit, and she deeply loves being a mom. Courtney is intentional about creating a home filled with love, comfort, and togetherness, and she treasures every moment spent helping Whitleigh learn, grow, and feel cherished.
ABOUT Courtney
Micajah purchased our home in 2015, and Courtney moved in when we got married in 2016.
We love living out in the country on our one-acre property, perfectly situated between our parents. It’s a peaceful, welcoming place where we enjoy spending time together as a family.
We are fortunate to be in a great school district that is very close to our home, making it easy for Whitleigh to be involved in her community and school activities. Our house has four bedrooms, and all three of us are excited to prepare another room to welcome a child into our family.
