Leland & Elaine
Hello! We are Leland and Elaine. Thank you for taking the time to learn about us. We can only imagine the strength and love it takes to consider adoption, and we deeply respect your journey.
While we cannot know what the future holds, we can promise that if we are blessed to become your child’s parents, we will cherish them every day for the rest of our lives.
We met in 2012 on a dating website.
We communicated through messages first and then spent a lot of time getting to know each other talking on the phone. What started as conversations grew into a meaningful connection. We discovered that we shared many of the same values, enjoyed spending time together, and could easily make each other laugh.
Over the years, our relationship thrived through life's ups and downs. We built a strong foundation of friendship, trust, and love. In 2016, we got married and were excited to begin the next chapter of our story. We promised to support one another through every season of life and those promises have only grown stronger with time.
We genuinely enjoy being together. Whether we're working on a project around the house, spending time with family and friends, exploring somewhere new, enjoying a quiet evening at home, or just running errands together, we are happiest when we're together.
ABOUT US
Leland, a Michigan native who grew up in Ohio, has two sisters and four nephews.
He is incredibly dependable and brings a friendly vibe wherever he goes. Leland is a super dependable and kind individual. His relaxed nature makes those nearby feel at ease. Whether it’s fixing issues, tackling home repairs, or hanging out with the people he loves, Leland radiates patience and good energy.
From an early age, Leland was fascinated by how things worked. This interest, and maybe his mom's frustration with disassembled appliances, guided him to Scouting, where he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. In adulthood, his curiosity shines through in his passion for technology. Leland is a collaboration engineer for a regional bank. He even built a server room in our basement where he is always fixing or updating something.

ABOUT Elaine
She is caring, patient, creative, and dependable. She loves spending time with the people she cares about.
Elaine is a PreK teacher for a large local school district. She spends her days helping young children learn, grow, and gain confidence in themselves. She loves creating engaging learning experiences and celebrating each child's unique personality and accomplishments. The same qualities that make Elaine a devoted teacher, loyal friend, and loving wife will make her an exceptional mother. She is ready to provide a child with a home filled with laughter, security, encouragement, and unconditional love.
We live in a diverse, welcoming community across the street from the local schools.
Our home has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and even an indoor pool! The pool doesn't work yet because it hasn't been a priority while we were fixing up the rest of the house, but it's near the top of the to-do list. One of our favorite things about our home is the space it provides for outdoor play and adventure. Our yard offers room for running, playing, exploring, and making childhood memories. We also love that we are surrounded by parks and green spaces. Whether it's visiting a playground, taking a nature walk, enjoying a picnic, or spending time outdoors, there are so many opportunities for fun, learning, and family time close to home.
While we enjoy the comfort and sense of community our neighborhood provides, we are also just a short drive from Columbus. This gives us access to museums, libraries, cultural events, sporting events, family attractions, and educational opportunities. We love having the best of both worlds: a peaceful community to call home and a vibrant city nearby to explore together.
Brutus is our five-year-old pug who adores his humans. He loves food, attention, and car rides. He enjoys playing with everyone he meets, especially his human cousins. A dedicated Buckeye supporter, he goes wild for touchdown belly rubs. He can't wait to have his own human siblings to love and play with.
