We're Frank and Bess, and we're so glad you're here. We're honored you're taking a moment to get to know us and hope this gives you a glimpse into the life, home, and family we've built together. If there's one thing we've learned over the last fifteen years together, it's that family isn't defined by how it begins. It's built through love, commitment, and the people who choose each other every day.
ABOUT US
If you had told us when we met in college that this would be our story, we probably wouldn't have believed you.
We've spent more than fifteen years building a life together. Along the way we've lived in New York City, navigated years of long distance, struggled with infertility, gone through five rounds of IVF, welcomed our (now 5 year old) daughter Margot, moved back to Ohio, faced a breast cancer diagnosis, and rebuilt life on the other side of it all.
None of those experiences were part of some grand plan. In fact, very little about our life has gone according to plan. What has remained constant is, us!
We've learned how to sit with uncertainty, how to find joy in small moments, and how to keep showing up for each other when things are hard. Those experiences have shaped the kind of parents we are today. Not perfect parents, but patient and thoughtful ones. Present ones. Parents who understand that family can be built in many different ways and that love is often strongest when it has been chosen again and again.
These days, our life looks a little quieter than it once did. We live in Columbus, Ohio with our daughter Margot, our dog Ollie, and our cat Lou. Most weekends are spent with people we love, playing with horses at our parents farm, camping, visiting friends, riding bikes around the neighborhood, or gathered around a table for a meal together.
The older we get, the more we realize that the best parts of life aren't the big milestones. They're the ordinary moments—bedtime stories, inside jokes, Saturday morning pancakes, neighborhood walks, and the comfort of knowing you're loved exactly as you are.
That's the kind of childhood we hope to offer. One filled with belonging, curiosity, stability, laughter, and unconditional love.

about Frank
Frank is a very steady man, a thoughtful husband, and an endlessly reliable dad.
As an architect by trade, he has a true love for art and design, which carries over into the way he approaches life at home. He’s also a huge sports fan, especially football, but enjoys just about any game, whether watching or sharing the experience with friends and family.
At home, Frank is a team player. He’s the dad who washes dishes, walks the dog, helps with the bedtime routine, plays pretend, and steps in wherever he’s needed.
What I admire most about him is his loyalty and steadiness. He doesn’t need things to be a certain way to show his love or commitment, and you can always count on him to be present and dependable.
Frank brings a calm, grounded presence to our family. He shows up for those he loves consistently, making our life together one of stability, safety, and love.

about Bess
Bess is one of the most creative and thoughtful people I know.
She’s always working on something, whether it’s a DIY project, learning a new hobby, or finding ways to bring the people she loves together.
She’s also incredibly committed to giving back, especially within the cancer community, where she spends a lot of her time supporting others with a level of empathy that comes from real experience.
In her early-30s, Bess was diagnosed with breast cancer. Watching her go through that was one of the hardest things we’ve faced, but it also showed me just how strong and resilient she is. While she is now a survivor, the treatment left her unable to carry children, which has shaped our path in a very real way. It’s also deepened her perspective on family and her desire to continue growing ours.
As a mom, Bess is very warm, and intuitive. She creates a home that feels full and loving, and she has a way of making the people around her feel seen and supported. I feel very lucky to be building a life and family with her.

Our home is warm, welcoming, and well-loved.
It's where we cook meals together, gather with neighbors in the yard, build forts, read bedtime stories, and enjoy the everyday moments that make a house feel like home.
Over the years, we've created a space that reflects what matters most to us: comfort, connection, and a sense of belonging. It's the kind of place where our friends and family naturally gather.
Our family also includes Ollie, our loyal dog, and Lou, our curious cat. They're wonderful companions and an important part of daily life, whether they're joining us for neighborhood walks, curling up during story time, or simply keeping us company at home.
