We first met in college 14 years ago and, from the start, became each other’s best friends.

After several years together, we married and have shared almost 10 wonderful years of marriage built on love, laughter, and a deep respect for one another. Our home is filled with warmth, joy, and a sense of togetherness that keeps us constantly grateful for the life we share. Family is at the heart of everything we do. We are the proud parents of two incredible children, Robert James (“R.J.”), and Madison. They are kind, affectionate kids who adore one another and are truly best friends. Their days are full of energy, giggles, and imagination, whether they’re running around outside and playing on our playground, sharing snacks, pretending they are Buzz Lightyear and Cinderella, or during our beloved Friday movie nights.

We love spending time as a family, whether that means soaking up the sun at the beach, laughing our way through a waterpark, or cheering on our favorite teams—the Ohio State Buckeyes and Kentucky Wildcats. We often travel and cherish creating new experiences together, big or small. Our home is surrounded by caring friends and family. We gather often to celebrate birthdays, holidays, and milestones or sometimes, just to enjoy each other’s company. The community we’ve built is an important part of our lives, one that surrounds our children with love, support, and strong values.

Mike is as an attorney and primarily works from home, allowing him to be present for school drop-offs, playtimes, and family dinners. Ashley is a stay-at-home mom who dedicates her energy to caring for our children and volunteering with several local organizations. Life for us revolves around our kids and the people we love most. We spend nearly all our time together, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

When people say that choosing your husband means choosing the father of your children, that rings deeply true in our home.

From the very beginning, I knew Michael would be an incredible dad but watching him live that out every day still amazes me. Michael is an accomplished attorney and he works tirelessly so that I can stay home with our kids, yet he never lets his job keep him from being fully present as their father. He does everything possible not to miss a school event, a milestone, or even a simple family dinner around the table.

Mornings in our house are simple but special. Michael begins every day with waking the kids up, getting them breakfast and spending quality time with them. I love hearing their laughter as they play with toys, watch their five-minute Bible stories, or dance around to their favorite songs. Even with a demanding job and the responsibilities of parenting, Michael is intentional about caring for me as well. Whether it’s planning a date night to a Broadway show or slowing his pace so we can run a half-marathon side by side, he makes sure we have time as a couple. He is the most selfless man, husband, and father I know, and our family simply would not be what it is without him.

Ashley is the heart and soul of our family; a kind, hardworking woman whose greatest joy is being a mother.

As her husband, it has been a blessing to see her shine in this role, and I never could have imagined what an incredible mother she would be to R.J. and Madison. Every day, Ashley looks for new ways to enrich the lives of our children. She meets the challenges of parenting two toddlers with patience and kindness and has created an environment where there are always imaginative games and activities for our kids, encouraging their creativity and curiosity, whether they’re painting at home, heading outside for playdates, or joining friends for gymnastics and soccer.

Before welcoming our second child, Ashley ran a successful medical staffing company, a role in which her leadership and care touched many lives. Today, she continues to make our community a better place, volunteering her time and lending her expertise by serving on nonprofit and public boards. When friends or neighbors need help, Ashley is always the first person to answer the call, never seeking recognition but always making a difference.

ABOUT Ashley

We live in a warm and welcoming suburb just outside of Cleveland, in a neighborhood that Ashley has called home her entire life.

With four bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths, there’s plenty of space for our family to grow and for kids to explore, play, and rest. One of our favorite spots in the house is the playroom, where creativity and imagination take center stage.

We also have a finished basement that serves as a second playroom, perfect for rainy days and family movie nights. Just outside, our backyard features a swing set and a deck where we host friends and family for summer barbeques and our favorite traditions. From football watch parties to our annual preHalloween cookout and Friendsgiving, our home is always open for gatherings and celebration.

Our Home Our neighborhood is a wonderful place for families. We’re less than ten minutes from beautiful Lake Erie beaches and several metroparks, making it easy for us to enjoy walks, picnics, and outdoor adventures together.

The community here is close-knit; many of our neighbors are also close friends. We love walking through the neighborhood, chatting with friendly faces, and seeing our children play with those next door.
