Caring for Kids offers a search service for families that have an approved Ohio home study. We conduct searches throughout the United States for children available for adoption that meet the profile desired. We can work with you at the same time another agency is working with you to help increase your chances for a successful match. Simply sign a release of information with your agency and have them send your homestudy to us. We will review and determine if we believe we can service your family. You can then work with both agencies until a match is made. If your match is made by Caring for Kids, you will then need to do a full transfer from your home agency to Caring for Kids in order that we can provide the services necessary to complete the adoption match and provide supportive services to your family. If your match is made by your home agency, simply call Caring for Kids and inform us of your match. We will stop searching for you at that time so that you can work with your home agency on your adoptive placement. There is no fee for this service for children over seven years old. There is a $500.00 search fee to families interested in children 0-7 year old. Private Infant AdoptionCaring for Kids offers a search service for families that have an approved Ohio home study. Once your homestudy is approved, you may sign a release and request that your home agency send Caring for Kids a copy of your homestudy. If, after reviewing your homestudy, Caring for Kids decides that they are able to provide services to you; you can become part of the search program. In addition to your homestudy, you would need to send two or three copies of your family picture profile book as well as a birth parent letter. The fee to become part of this search program is $1,000.00. Upon completion of the above documents and the fee payment you will be notified that you are officially part of the Infant Search Program. NOTE: There may be times that this program is full and we are not able to accept search families. Caring for Kids will accept families from other agencies as often as possible, but may experience times that we will not accept families due to the numbers of families that are currently searching.
